The Mothers’ Shrine Honors All Mothers

The Mothers’ Shrine gladly honored all mothers this past Mother’s Day with several events. A flower sale preceded the weekend, offering fresh floral bouquets for mothers in unique vases. Flowers were arranged by volunteers and sold the Friday and Saturday prior to Mother’s Day.

A free brunch was offered on Sunday, May 14th following the 8am Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Guests dined on hot breakfast dishes, homemade pastries, and other donated items during the event. One of The Mothers’ Shrine Board members addressed the room thanking everyone for their support of The Mothers’ Shrine.

During the afternoon, Mass was held inside St. Patrick Catholic Church due to impending rain. The rain held off long enough for the Crowning of Mary prior to Mass. Fr. John Schmitz presided the liturgy which included a blessing for all mothers present.

Following the liturgy all were invited to view the new names on the Mothers’ Wall of Life.
