The Heritage Fund
The Heritage Fund maintained by the Mary, Mother of the Church Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation was established in 2015 to support The National Shrine of Mary, Mother of the Church. The funds are invested by the Finance Committee for the long-term benefit of the Shrine and its stated Mission. Disbursement of the funds is at the direction of the Shrine Board. Heritage Fund members are remembered at a Mass offered by the Spiritual Director of the Shrine, twelve times throughout the year. In order not to compete with regular donations to the Shrine, the minimum amount for a gift to the Heritage Fund is $2,500. For each gift of $5,000, you will receive an engraving on the Mothers’ Wall, for a maximum of 5 names.
Pillar of Mary
Your gift of $5,000 per year for three years entitles you to become a Pillar of Mary and have your name inscribed on our pillar. Additionally, you will receive three names on the Mothers’ Wall.
Honor or Memorial Gifts
You can support the Shrine by remembering someone who has been a vital part of your life with a gift in her memory or honor. This is a meaningful way to convey sympathy to the bereaved, memorialize a loved one, commemorate a special occasion such as Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day or a birthday, graduation or anniversary. Honorary gifts are often given to show appreciation for someone's kindness or to recognize their impact on your life. Your gift is also an opportunity to express gratitude to our Blessed Mother for the goodness you have received in your own life.
