“Finding Sanctuary” with Jennifer Hubbard: luncheon on July 23

Complimentary Ticket Offers

Due to the generosity of a Mothers’ Shrine supporter in sponsoring the luncheon, the Shrine is offering one free ticket when one is purchased. Free tickets are limited to the first 25 registrations who request two tickets and pay for one.
In addition, 20 individual tickets are available at no charge for those who could not otherwise afford to attend the luncheon. Contact Terri Lynn, Director of Development for the Mothers’ Shrine to take advantage of this offer at 913-634-4567 or tlynn@mmocs.org.

Where is God when the innocent suffer? Jennifer Hubbard began to grapple with the question in 2012 when her six-year-old daughter Catherine was killed in the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. In the depths of her grief, Hubbard found sanctuary, creating a place of healing for her family and their community and fulfilling her daughter’s dream.

Hear Jennifer’s courageous witness at a special luncheon at The National Shrine of Mary, Mother of the Church on July 23, beginning at 11:30 am. Her testimony will uplift your faith and demonstrate how Christ’s redemptive suffering provides a path of hope, even in the darkest moments of our lives.

Participants will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Jennifer’s book, Finding Sanctuary.

All proceeds will benefit the Mothers’ Shrine, whose vision is to increasingly be a destination of choice where pilgrims experience in their hearts the human journey of the Blessed Mother, as mother to all, who walks with us to her Son, Jesus. The Shrine will be where people of diverse faith traditions return often to find understanding, comfort, and serenity in our Mother’s love through all the Shrine offers among its beautiful setting at the Lake of the Ozarks and through its online community.
